Theft of Motor Vehicle - Forest Hill

Forest Hill Neighbourhood Team are aware of Theft of Motor Vehicle Offences taking place around the Ringmore Rise and Canonbie Road area's in Forest Hill. The most recent offence being on the afternoon of the 26th June 2025.

Your local team are conducting patrols in the area to disrupt criminality and this includes Plain Clothes and also uniformed patrols alongside patrols in the key area's where stolen vehicles are often found to try and return these to their owners. The vehicles often targeted within this area are Keyless Toyota's, often the C-HR models and RAV4's, Hyundai IONIQ 5's, Ford Ranger pick up trucks and also Lexus models. We are also seeing an increase in the theft of Ford Puma model vehicles. Many of these vehicles are stolen via keyless theft methods using various devices and can often be stolen in a matter of seconds.

There are many ways that the theft of your vehicle can be prevented, such as a full steering lock rather than a single bar lock, ensuring your vehicle is closed and lock at night and also the consideration of wheel clamps or bollards at the end of your driveway.
